Are my chats uploaded to a server?
No. Solme has no account system and runs no servers of its own — chats, memories, and diaries are stored only on your phone. The parts that need AI are processed solely by the model provider you configure yourself.
Do I need to set up an API key myself?
Yes. Conversations are powered by the model provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, or any compatible endpoint), and the key is stored only on your device. This is part of "your data passes through no third party" — no one but you and your model provider can see your conversations.
Does TA really remember what I've said?
Yes. Solme has a full memory system: chats are distilled into long-term memories and diary entries. Important dates and the things you like are remembered and light up as stars in your memory sky. The more TA remembers, the better TA knows you.
The app seems complicated — what if I can't set it up?
Don't worry. The
community has ready-made personas (one-tap copy), a zero-to-first-chat starter guide, and notes on every chat setting.
If I delete the app, is my data gone?
That's up to you. Chats and other data live in folders you can open directly in your file manager — whether they survive an uninstall is your call.
I'm switching phones — do my chats come with me?
Yes. Solme has a built-in backup & migrate feature: export a backup file on your old phone, then import it on the new one.
Which devices are supported?
Currently Android 8.0 and newer, phones only.
Is Solme free?
The app itself is free, with no in-app purchases during Beta. You only pay your model provider for your own usage.
